The sea surface microlayer (SML) is the key interface between the oceans and the atmosphere. 这是大气气体进入海洋的地方, 大气颗粒沉积的地方, 生物活动的副产物聚集在哪里, 污染物集中的地方(e.g. microplastics), where radioactive particles deposit and where oil slicks reside.
Its thickness is ill-defined with reported figures ranging from tens of nm to mm; its viscosity, Even sampling the SML is challenging, let alone monitoring the composition continuously.
- 安培测量(e.g. to assess the local concentration of heavy metals or dissolved oxygen)
